PC gamers worried that their version of Crysis 2 would suffer due to the game being a multi-platform project can breathe a sigh of relief – according to Crytek, the PC version of the upcoming FPS sequel will be “superior from every angle”.

Speaking to Edge, Crytek president and creative director, Cevat Yerli responded to a question about the current trend for PC versions of console games suffering from console control systems and FOV problems.

“Yeah. Crysis 2 doesn’t suffer from that, in my opinion – it’s superior from every angle,” stated Yerli.

He added that, unlike the original PC Crysis, “this isn’t necessarily a game you can’t play today, or where you need another two years to max it out. That’s not the approach this time.”

“Now, it’s more like we want to give you the best PC experience with current high-end equipment. So if you bought the last high-end graphics card, you’re going to get a blast out of it. Likewise, the minimum-spec experience will be of a far higher quality than Crysis was.”

We’re sure that Crysis 2 on PC will look amazing, and a good deal better than the already very pretty Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. From the sound of things we’re not even going to need a bleeding-edge PC to get good results.
