Interplay has confirmed a two-pronged growth strategy which will see the company leveraging its portfolio of gaming properties to create sequels and raise funding for a new Massively Multiplayer Online Game based on the Fallout franchise.

Gaming properties lined-up for the sequel treatment include Earthworm Jim, Dark Alliance, Decent and MDK. The company has reinstated its in-house game development studio and is currently hiring new developers.

“2007 set the foundation for our growth strategy. Going forward, we have the vision, unique intellectual property, and low debt and operational costs to help us pursue financing for our various projects,” said Interplay Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen. “Our new Website will streamline our ability to communicate development progress with the public, share brand information with the fans and support our customers.”
