Clicking on the Xbox tab on the Windows Live Messenger application will bring up your friends list. You can go one step further by clicking on a friend and viewing their profile page so you can see exactly what they’ve been up to. Just to be clear, this is Windows Live Messenger and not MSN Messenger, so if you haven’t got that particular messenger app you can download it here.
There’s just one problem at the moment – the Xbox Live linkup only works with US and Japanese passport accounts. Major Nelson says that “it is purely up to the regional Windows Live Messenger teams if they want an Xbox tab… the Xbox team does not make this decision.“
Hopefully the functionality will be added in Europe soon.
