The Wire has learned that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King is set to launch alongside the WiiWare service on May 12, 2008. A Square Enix rep also revealed that the game will be priced 1,500 Wii Points – 500 Wii Points more than a typical N64 Virtual Console title.
My Life as a King begins after events in the first Crystal Chronicles title on GameCube. Players take on the role of Leo the Little King, a member of the Clavat race who has special powers known as “The Architect”.
Leo will need these powers to build a new country in the barren lands. Players will also need to acquire skills found in dungeons, but Leo won’t go on these dangerous missions himself, instead will send skilled warriors to battle for him.
WiiWare, known as Wii Software in the UK, is currently without a confirmed European release date.
