Nintendo has confirmed plans to discuss Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart and an unannounced 3D Mario title during a pre-E3 Nintendo Direct broadcast.
The news was revealed via a tweet from Nintendo of America following the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast last Friday.
#IwataSays We will discuss new Smash Bros., 3D Mario game, Mario Kart and other Wii U titles in our #NintendoDirectNA before the start of E3
— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) May 17, 2013
A date for the broadcast has yet to be announced.
The Nintendo Direct broadcast will replace a traditional E3 conference from Nintendo. The company confirmed last month that it would not be putting on a press conference to focus on “a new presentation style for E3” instead.
