Only days after the PlayStation Phone found its way onto a Hong Kong forum, the device has been further exposed by Chinese website IT168.
The Xperia-branded device is confirmed to be powered by a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, along with what’s assumed with be a 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 – the same processor at the heart of the HTC Desire HD.
A benchmark test also reports an impressive 59.1 frames per second, a score which is more than double early results for the device and a marginal improvement over the Nexus S.
The previously seen game launcher app has now been renamed “PlayStation Pocket”, but its exact purpose remains a mystery – will it run PSone games, PSP games or a new range of PlayStation titles?
