EA titles take up seven of the top eight chart positions, after three new EA games entered the top five. FIFA Street 2 has toppled Black after only a week at the top, with The Sims 2: Open for Business entering at No.3 and Battle for Middle-Earth II also a new entry, at No.5. The only non-EA titles to make the top ten are Codemasters’ ToCA Race Driver 3 at No.4, Pro Evolution Soccer 5 from Konami at No.9, and LucasArts’ Star Wars: Empire at War at No.10.
Outside of the top ten there has been very little movement, but Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach has done ok in its first week, entering inside the top twenty at No.16. Very few titles managed to climb the chart this week, but one title that did manage an improvement was Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play on the PSP, moving from No.31 to No.19.
This week sees the release of the massively anticipated Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the Xbox 360, along with Fight Night Round 3 on all formats including Xbox 360. Other titles that should make an impression on next week’s chart include Lemmings and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on the PSP.
