Yacht Club and Nintendo have confirmed that three more Shovel Knight themed amiibo will soon be available to buy, with a teaser video courtesy of GameGrumps. Currently there’s no confirmed release date other than a vague ‘coming soon’, but after watching this video anticipation is rising.
Players will soon be able to place the Specter Knight, Plague Knight and King Knight on their bespoke shelves alongside their treasured Shovel Knight amiibo. Each figure will unlock things in the game such as helper fairies, armour, challenge stages and more. The three amiibo will be made available in the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove 3-pack, and will work across the Nintendo Switch, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game.
The amiibo were unveiled in a rather sultry and sensuous video featuring Game Grumps’ Arin Hanson. Part of me feels the video should have been scored with George Michael’s Careless Whisper for maximum romance.

Fun Fact: Shovel Knight was the first character that hadn’t featured in any Nintendo owned game to be released as an amiibo. Smart eh?
Yacht Games said it’ll announce a release date for the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove 3-pack in the near future.
