First we have a new outing for SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab features nine levels based in Bikini Bottom, Bob’s stomping ground. The game will be released for the usual suspects (PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, DS, and the PC), plus will mark SpongeBob’s next-gen debut with an appearance on the Nintendo Revolution.
Also coming to the Revolution this year is Avatar: The Last Airbender. This will be the first game based on the series, and promises to include all the show’s martial-arts action. The game will also be released on GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, DS, PSP, and the PC.
Several other titles are also heading to stores this year: Danny Phantom Urban Jungle is coming to DS and GBA, Unfabulous on the GBA, and Nicktoons on the PS2, GameCube, GBA, and the DS. Nicktoons will feature characters from several of the network’s leading shows, including SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, and The Fairly OddParents.
Also scheduled for release later this year is Barnyard for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and PC. The game is based on Nickelodeon’s upcoming film of the same name, which happens to be written and directed by Steve Oedekerk (Kung Pow: Way of the Fist).
