Japan-based Square Enix and Eidos Montreal are collaborating on the group’s first global game, according to Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada.
At the Montreal International Game Summit Wada revealed that Eidos Montreal is working on a third title, in addition to Deus Ex 3 and Thief 4. The new game will be “the first collaboration between Square Enix and Montreal,” said Wada. “We would like to be able to create a new title that is made by the group as one.”
The collaborative project is still very much in its early stages, with Wada admitting it’s not been decided if the game will be a new IP or utilise an existing Square Enix/Eidos property.
