According to IGN, Tecmo is to join the likes of SEGA and Hudson, and will be releasing titles on the Wii’s Virtual Console. IGN states that the developer will be “aggressively” supporting the digital distribution service, but at this time the company’s full plans are not known.

It’s likely that we’ll see titles from the developer’s back catalogue making their way to the Wii – perhaps the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. With a bit of luck we’ll hear more about the Wii and its Virtual Console at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
