PSP-Generation reports on a bunch of new PSP features that are rumoured to be included in the upcoming PSP firmware 5.0. The information comes from an unnamed French developer working with the beta version of the firmware.
The big additions include direct access to the PlayStation Store on your PSP, an improved RSS reader and a screen capture mode. The source was unable to offer a firm release date for the new firmware, but speculates it will be available to coincide with this month’s launch of the PSP-3000, a model which features an improved screen and built-in microphone.
Sony remains as tight-lipped as ever, refusing to comment on “rumour or speculation”.
