Last week, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Phil Harrison declined to make an official statement regarding the proposed March 2007 release, a move which put a question mark over Sony’s commitment to meeting the date.
European PlayStation fans can now rest a little easier though. SCEE’s corporate communications boss Nick Sharples has told GamesIndustry.biz that the company is “still very much on track for a March launch in Europe.“
The PlayStation 3 hit Japanese stores over the weekend, and will launch in North America this Friday with a promised 400,000 units for retail.
