Excellent news for Sonic audiophiles everywhere, as record company Brave Wave have announced in a press release that they’re collaborating with Sega to bring the classic Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 soundtracks to vinyl for the first time. Which should go nicely with that Sonic Mania vinyl soundtrack from earlier this year.
Both games will get two LP records to themselves, with the first pressing even coming in thematically correct colours – blue and white for Sonic Adventure and blue and red for Sonic Adventure 2.
The songs will be remastered especially for vinyl and have been handpicked by Sonic Adventure series Lead Composer and Sound Director Jun Senoue. They’ll also come with a booklet featuring an interview with the man and Sonic Team head Takashi Lizuka.
There’s no more specific date than ‘Winter’ for the release at present but you can find all the information as well as which specific songs made the cut on Brave Wave’s website. Naturally, categorically best-song-of-the-franchise-don’t-at-me Escape from the City is on there.
