SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. have announced a partnership with Bizarre Creations to create an as yet unknown next-generation franchise. Bizarre Creations is the UK developer behind the Project Gotham Racing series on Xbox and Xbox 360, and Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast. The Worldwide deal will see SEGA manage all marketing and distribution, as well as working with Bizarre on the game’s production.
Bizarre Creations has a strong racing heritage so perhaps they may have been brought onboard to develop one of SEGA’s own racing franchises for the next-gen consoles. Next-gen Daytona anyone?
“We are actively seeking partnerships with the world’s best developers to create brand new franchises and re-create new games from existing SEGA IP,” said Naoya Tsurumi, CEO of SEGA America and SEGA Europe.
