UK publisher SCi has revealed its plan to use the Eidos brand name for all future products. This decision comes as part of the integration between the two software publishers after SCi’s acquisition of Eidos back in May.

Although the group will maintain the SCi Entertainment Group name, all future games will be published under the Eidos brand. The reason being the Eidos brand is much more widely recognised than SCi.

SCi sees the strong Eidos brand as a way to expand overseas, and plans to retain Eidos’ North American publishing division, with expansion key to future success.

Our strategy to restore Eidos to profitability is well underway,” said SCi chief executive Jane Cavanagh, “and we are confident this will be achieved in the year ending 30 June 2006.
