Sam and Max is remembered as one of the greatest point and click adventures ever created, thanks to its well written story, impressive graphics, humour and comic violence. Fans of the game have had a rough time of it with Sam and Max game announcements being followed by cancellations. After the cancellation of LucasArts’s Sam & Max Freelance Police in 2004, I’m sure many thought they would never see another Sam and Max game.
Think again. After the cancellation of the game in 2004 many members of the development team left to form the indie games developer Telltale Games; a studio dedicated to bringing point and click adventures back to the forefront of the gaming industry. After completing their first title, Bone: Out from Boneville, the team is moving onto development of a new Sam and Max game. Few details are available other than the game will be delivered in an episodic format.
The developer’s first title, Bone: Out from Boneville, is out now and available to download from Telltale Games official website.
