While THQ is yet to officially reveal the next game in the Saints Row series, images released online suggest it’ll be called Saints Row: The Third.
The leaked promotional artwork shows what appears to be 3rd Street Saints member Johnny Gat stood in front of a plane, while a female gang member is getting aboard.
In the background the city of Stilwater can be seen, but the suggestion from the artwork is that the Saints are leaving. Does this mean there’ll be a new city in Saints Row: The Third?
A second image shows the game’s title, winter 2011 release date and tagline. “Strap it on. Holiday 2011,” reads the promotional image.
If it is Gat on the artwork, he looks considerably slicker than he does in the first two games. The tagline also suggests the third game will feature the same humour of the original games, which will please existing fans. The layout of the artwork, with most the detail on the right, indicates that it has been designed for a magazine cover. Our guess is GameInformer.
