Sony has announced the Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0, a new PlayStation 4 headset due to launch on February 10 for £79.99.
The updated version of the popular headset features 7.1 virtual surround sound, plus a noise-cancelling microphone for the all-important voice chat.
An included USB wireless adapter also allows users to link the headset to a PS4, PS3, PC or Mac, with wireless audio blasting into your ears for 8 hours on a single charge, while a 3.5mm stereo mini jack makes the headset compatible with the PS Vita and other mobile devices.
Joining the headset is a free companion app that gives users the ability to access custom sound modes designed to enhance gameplay, music and movies on PS4 and PS3.
New sound modes will be released for specific titles, the first of which will be inFamous Second Son.
The app will also support the existing PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset on PS3 and PS4.
