UPDATE: Ubisoft has said that the beta will actually end next Monday, September 28, not October 5 as listed by PlayStation Store.

That means players will have just five days to play the beta, rather than the 12 previously reported.

“We know this is a relatively short testing period, but we decided that this would be enough time to identify the issues we need to address without tying up our development team for too long as they work to ship the game for a December 1st launch,” Rainbow Six Siege community developer Chase Straight says.

The beta is due to go live at around 9am Eastern (2pm BST) today.

ORIGINAL STORY: Rainbow Six Siege’s closed multiplayer beta will end at 4pm CET (3pm BST) on Monday, October 5, the game’s PlayStation Store listing has revealed.

The date means that players will have 12 days to try Ubisoft’s tactical shooter before its release on December 1. The beta is due to go live on PS4, Xbox One and PC later today.

You’ll need to grab a key to get in, though, either by pre-ordering the game or grabbing one online. If you haven’t yet managed to secure one, we’ve still got some available here.

The multiplayer beta includes three maps – Consulate, Hereford and House – playable at both day and night, 14 operators and three game modes: Disarm Bomb, Secure Area and Terrorist Hunt Classic.

The beta is available to pre-load on PS4 and Xbox One now, with the Xbox One version coming in at 6.83GB.
