Warner Bros.’ upcoming LEGO toys-to-life game is being developed under the working title ‘LEGO Dimensions’, VideoGamer.com understands.

VideoGamer first reported that work on the unannounced game was underway at Traveller’s Tales earlier this week, with the game expected to rival Activision’s Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Nintendo’s Amiibos.

The game is expected to go on sale later this year.

While Warner Bros. has yet to comment, prior to the story’s publication Traveller’s Tales’ associate producer Tim Wileman told VideoGamer.com that the studio was “always trying to push the boundaries” of what it can achieve with the franchise, telling fans to “watch this space”.

“I don’t want to focus too much on the other games at the moment,” he said, “but what I will say is, like I say, we’re always looking to push the boundaries on these games in terms of the scope and the potential and we’re ambitious in that respect.

“So although I can’t go into any specific details now, rest assured that is the case and we’re always trying to push the boundaries. So watch this space.”

VideoGamer.com has contacted Warner Bros. for further comment.
