DriveClub was the UK’s best-selling single-platform exclusive of 2014, it’s been revealed.

The racer fended off other console exclusives The Last of Us: Remastered, Infamous: Second Son, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection to come out on top, despite suffering from disastrous launch issues.

Much of the game’s success likely came as a result of its inclusion in Black Friday bundles. Last month it was revealed that sales of DriveClub had jumped 999 per cent during Black Friday week after a console bundle containing a copy of the game fell to £289.

However it has continued to sell reasonably well since, placing at No.12 in this week’s charts.

The Last of Us Remastered, meanwhile, was the second best-selling single-platform exclusive of 2014, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection being the best-selling Xbox One exclusive and third best-selling exclusive of the year.

Major Xbox One title Titanfall finished the year as the 12th best-selling title, seven places ahead of DriveClub’s overall position, but is not included here due to its release on Xbox 360 and PC.
