Battlefield 1’s open beta will run for 9 days, according to an email allegedly sent to Czech website Zing by EA Poland.

Zing claims to have been told that the beta will begin on August 31 and end on September 8, giving players just over a week to test out the upcoming shooter. The email also states that “this is the only chance for everyone to try the game before release”, suggesting that it is the only public beta planned prior to launch.

EA has yet to confirm how long the Battlefield 1 beta will run for, but has confirmed it will begin next Wednesday, August 31. Battlefield Insiders will also receive early access, although we don’t yet know how far in advance they’ll be given access.

The beta includes two game modes – Conquest and Rush – and a single multiplayer map, Sinai Desert.

Battlefield 1 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 21.
