Sony Computer Entertainment has released the first part of a video presentation which shows off some of the new features found in the imminent PS3 firmware 2.40.
In the video Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network operations, demos the ability to access the XMB in-game, discusses custom soundtracks and confirms that the Google Search Bar (previously seen on PSP) will be included for PS3 as part of firmware 2.40.
Lempel notes that a second video showing off the trophy system will be released ‘shortly’ and the firmware itself will be available ‘soon’.
