Though Sony are still staying tight lipped on whether or not the PS3 ‘Elite’ is a reality, a photograph circulating the internet seems to suggest the 80GB model is well underway.
The image, posted on Kotaku, depicts the underside of a PlayStation 3 box, with the details of the 80GB hard-drive clearly visible. There is every chance that the photograph is a fake, though it certainly looks genuine.
Closer inspection reveals that there are no other planned changes to the machine. Sony’s recent decision to phase out the 20GB PS3 has only added to the rumour.
