Trophy hunters in the USA have been given a new reason to hunt down those elusive rewards. Thanks to the new Sony Rewards program, it seems Sony are willing to offer a bounty for collecting trophies; though it’ll take a while to reap the best rewards.
As picked up by Kotaku, once signed up and with a linked PSN account you can find three milestones which can earn you a set number of points. These points can then be eventually exchanged for a PSN voucher. Silver trophies are worth one point, Golds are worth 10 and Platinums are worth 100. Once you’ve reached 1000 points, you can exchange them for $10 of PSN credit.
It’s not a massive amount, and the page seems to be rather vague about if you can pick up these rewards more than one time, but it’s a nice move for hours of play. It’s also worth noting that only trophies earned after you sign up and link your account count, so no retroactive rewards for trophies already earned.
Sadly, this promotion is also in the US only for now, but fingers crossed it’ll make its way to the UK and Europe eventually.
