Zynga general manager Jeremy Verba has left the social gaming giant to become CEO for dating site eHarmony.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, initially Verba oversaw the development of Zynga’s Treasure Isle game after joining Zynga in 2009. Prior to this he built an online community site called Piczo.

Verba will replace Gregory Waldorf, who has spent 11 years as eHarmony CEO.

Zynga is rumoured to have bid $1 billion cash for PopCap.
