Yesterday Activision announced the Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige and Hardened editions, each coming with “four extra playable co-op maps”.
According to retailer BestBuy, these maps aren’t just any maps, but zombie maps made famous in Call of Duty: World at War.
Given that Black Ops won’t be featuring the Nazis we assume the Nazi Zombie mode from World at War won’t be returning, but a more conflict-suitable living dead mode certainly looks to be on the cards.
Whether or not the mode will be present as standard on all editions of the game, or will be offered as part of the special editions and as a DLC purchase on the regular versions remains to be seen.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is scheduled for release on November 9, 2010.
