NIS America has announced that fantasy role-playing game Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is making the jump to Nintendo Switch this summer. The game will launch on the hybrid console in the US on June 26 and in the UK on June 29.

Labelled the ‘definitive’ version of the acclaimed JRPG, the Switch edition of Ys VIII packs in all the content seen in the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game, plus a fully relocalised script. In addition, NIS America will be flogging a Day One Adventurer’s Edition, featuring a reversible cover, three character cards, and a double-sided poster.

Elsewhere, the publisher also confirmed that the PC version of Ys VIII is slated to appear at some point next month. The company promised that additional updates on this version of the game will be made on its blog.
