Microsoft has announced that the final piece of its social gaming puzzle this winter, You’re in the Movies, is to be released across Europe on November 28.

Described as a truly one of its kind experience, with You’re in the Movies players become the stars of the show. Using the Xbox LIVE Vision camera players take part in a variety of mini-games with their actions captured and later used to create a short film.

Up to four friends can play together, with a director guiding players through their roles with simple instructions and immediate feedback – players are also rated on their mini-game performance by the director.

Players can also enter the edit room in Director Mode and produce their very own blockbuster – choose the music, add a voice over and re-edit the action until you’re happy with the results. It will also be possible to share creations on Xbox LIVE.

Microsoft has also revealed that screen legend Burt Reynolds is to front a series of TV and magazine advertising spots for the game. The commercials will feature Reynolds using his long and illustrious career as a part of the tinsel town A-list to show would be leading men and women how to become stars by transforming their living rooms into Hollywood studios.

Burt Reynolds said: “It’s great to be able to share some of my experience with everyone about what it takes to be a movie star. You’re in the Movies on Xbox 360 allows everyone to have a piece of the action and have a fun time with their friends and family, staring in their own features, from the comfort of their own homes.”

The TV campaign is set to begin in major European markets this November, with the game scheduled for a November 28 release – recommended retail price of £29.99, or £44.99 bundled with an Xbox LIVE Vision camera.
