PlayStation 4 users are now able to try Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for free.
The 14-day free trial lets players try out Square Enix’s MMO up to level 20, with characters created during the trial transferable to the full game should you decide to upgrade.
Square warns, however, that there will be “certain limitations on available in-game activities” during the trial, although has yet to detail exactly what they are.
Still, if you’re interested in seeing what all the fuss is about why not give it a go over the Christmas break? Just be aware that if you do upgrade you’ll need to pay a monthly subscription fee to keep playing. Prices start from £7.69/month.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn first launched on PC and PS3 last summer before rolling out on PS4 earlier this year.
