DICE is giving players the chance to unlock various Battlefield V cosmetic items by continuing to pour hours into Battlefield 1 (via PST).

This is all part of DICE's Road to Battlefield V initiative, which you'll see when you log in to Battlefield 1. Here, you'll be presented with a new menu detailing daily tasks that count towards earning skins for equipment, weapons, dog tags, and other goodies.

However, players will occasionally discover the chance to hoover up exclusive vanity items for the upcoming World War II shooter, including eight soldier sets. While you can bag six of them by simply pre-ordering Battlefield V, the remaining two can only be snagged by playing Battlefield 1 and taking part in the aforementioned Road to Battlefield V.

The packs themselves contain cosmetic items including infantry face paint for British and German soldiers, plus weapon skins, camo patterns, and head gear. In addition, DICE will also add special multiplayer playlists into rotation on a weekly basis, and you can still grab DLC for both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4 without spending a penny.

Battlefield V is due out on October 19 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be jumping on the battle royale bandwagon.

We've played it already, and it's shaping up pretty well from what we can tell.
