UPDATE: Yoshinori Ono has clarified that his “position within Capcom has not changed and I’m still involved in all of the projects that I’m currently working on.”

“Only my role for Capcom Vancouver has ended.”

ORIGINAL REPORT: Yoshinori Ono has resigned from his position as director at Capcom Vancouver.

“I resigned from the director position about CAPCOM Vancouver,” Ono wrote on Twitter this afternoon. “Thanks good staff of CAPCOM Vancouver, and Dead Rising staff!”

He added that he had to “take some time” and “think over very carefully about next things”.

It isn’t yet clear whether Ono has left Capcom entirely or will continue to serve under a different position at the company. Prior to working at Capcom Vancouver, Ono worked as producer on the Street Fighter series.
