UPDATE:

A bunch of new details have come to light. According to IGN, Judge Eyes places a heavy emphasis on storytelling, with players controlling Takayuki Yagami; a lawyer-turned-detective on the case of a string of murders. It'll feature daft minigames and plenty of punchy combat, so it sounds like it'll have a few things in common with Yakuza.

However, Judge Eyes also incorporates investigation sequences that require you to identify suspects, before tailing them and taking snapshots.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

Judge Eyes is the new project currently in development at Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi's Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

Not much is known about the game at present, although Sega has revealed that it will launch in Japan on December 19 and is coming to the US and UK in 2019. A demo of Judge Eyes is available now on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

Nagoshi-san had previously teased that he would reveal his new game around the time of the Tokyo Game Show, so today's reveal at Sony's PlayStation Lineup Tour does make sense.

Sadly that's about all there is to know on Judge Eyes (or Project Judge as it's also known as), but take a gander at some footage below to tide you over until we get more details.

There's currently no word on what platform(s) Judge Eyes will be released on.
