Sega has quietly revealed the release date for the PC version of gangster-smashing remake, Yakuza Kiwami.
The date comes not from a boring press release however, but rather, via an animated gif that has cropped up on Yakuza Kiwami's Steam page. It depicts eyepatch-wearing nutter Goro Majima emerging from a manhole, and for a single frame, it's possible to make out 'February 19' date.
Sega has been using some pretty unconventional means to tease its projects in the past few weeks, so this one definitely fits the bill. For example, Catherine on PC was teased by a bunch of sheep rocking up on Steam.
So, it's not quite the official confirmation we were perhaps looking for, but it'll do until we hear otherwise.
Yakuza Kiwami was released on the PlayStation 4 in the west back in 2017, and features a completely overhauled combat system, new visuals, as well as the Majima Everywhere system that lets you fight Kiryu's self-proclaimed rival at multiple intervals throughout the game.
