Sega has revealed the second story trailer for Yakuza Kiwami 2 at this year’s Tokyo Games Show. Despite being announced only a few weeks ago, it won’t be long before the game is out in Japan, with the release date being confirmed for December 7. Kazuma Kiryu returns to the fray once more, to kick some asses and take some names.

The trailer reintroduces the game’s main characters in a series shots featuring plenty of camera-panning, tight leather trousers, impressively rendered facial hair, a grand piano, brooding gazes, and stunning muscular representations of men. Seriously, some of the blokes in this trailer are beyond ridiculously ripped.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2, which has been re-built using Yakuza 6’s Dragon Engine. Kiwami 2 sees players take control of Kazuma Kiryu, who left the Tojo Clan at the end of the original game. Kiryu is pulled back into the old life when Tojo Chairman Yukio Terada is murdered by rival faction the Omi Alliance. Kiryu must find a replacement for Terada whilst making sure that the rival clans cannot initiate a power struggle for the Tojo territory.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released in Japan exclusively for the PS4 on December 7. There’s been no confirmation of a release date for Europe, but considering the other games were released here it’s only a matter of time before something is announced.
