Yakuza Kiwami 2 has received a new trailer ahead of its western release on PlayStation 4 next month, offering a glimpse at the simmering relationship between hero Kazuma Kiryu and Detective Kaoru Sayama.

While the pair don't get off to a great start (she threatens to arrest Kiryu for one thing), they soon end up spending a lot of time together going out for meals, playing golf, and exchanging meaningful stares with each other. A teddy bear is also involved.

I'm not sure how Kaoru feels about Kiryu's more violent tendencies, although it obviously worked for Phil Mitchell in EastEnders, so why not here?

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is full remake of 2006's Yakuza 2 for PlayStation 2, although it's much more than a prettier version of the bone-breaking gangster sequel. There's tons more content thrown into the mix for one, including a brand new scenario starring fan-favourite Goro Majima.

Sega will release Yakuza Kiwami 2 in the US and UK on August 28. You can try a demo of the game on the PlayStation Store now to see how it's shaping up.
