Sega has revealed on the PlayStation EU blog that Yakuza 6 will be getting its own strategic mini-game, dubbed Clan Creator. This game mode enables players to mix-and-match their favourite characters, before going into battle with their friends online.

In Clan Creator players will create their own clan and choose a leader, such as Kiryu, Majima or Daigo, before sending them out onto the streets to fight other rival clans. These brawls are controlled by the game’s AI, and the points earnt from these street battles give the player experience points that can be spent on training and upgrading their leaders.

Players can collect Common, Rare and Super Rare characters throughout the course of the game. Sega has even teamed up with Japanese Pro Wrestling to bring in some real pros willing to duke it out, to see who really rules the streets. Although leaders and their clans are controlled by AI, there’s a degree of skill required. Players need to utilise their leaders’ special skills, to get the best out of their clans, and influence the battles on the mean streets of Kamurocho.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is scheduled to release exclusively on PS4 on March 20, 2018.
