Back in April 2K announced the development of XCOM, a reboot of the classic sci-fi franchise for Xbox 360 and PC.
At the time no release date was revealed, but the publisher has now pencilled the game in for 2011 along with military shooter Spec Ops – itself a reboot of an existing property.
The date comes by way of 2K’s E3 2010 line-up, which in addition to XCOM also includes Spec Ops, Mafia II, Civilization V, its 2K Sports titles, New Carnival Games and Nickelodeon Fit.
We’ll be at E3 next week bringing you news, screens, trailers and previews direct from the show floor. Look out for our E3 hub which will go live to coincide with the expo.
