2K’s XCOM FPS, originally due for release in 2011, will now be released in the year beginning April 1, 2013. The news came in Take-Two’s quarterly financial report.
No reason for the delay was given, although given how quiet the publisher has been on the game since the announcement of this October’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown the news is hardly a surprise.
Take Two’s net revenue is down to $148.1 million from $182.3 million in the same quarter last year, whereas revenue for the entire fiscal year dropped from $1,136.9 million to $825.8 million.
