There's been yet another sighting of the mysterious "Xbox Series S" console, this time on officially printed Xbox Game Pass trials that showed up over the weekend.
As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, Twitter user BraviaryBrendan posted the below image of a trial for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription that came with a new controller he purchased recently from the official Microsoft Store. Most pertinently, the trial mentions the Xbox Series S by name in the small print.
I got a new controller for my Xbox since mine was broken. Interestingly enough, the Game Pass Ultimate trial code sheet mentions the unannounced @Xbox Series S. It’s definitely a thing. pic.twitter.com/GX1rOYG5g7

The console, if it exists, is still yet to be confirmed by Microsoft, but is believed to be a cheaper next-generation upgrade similar to the Xbox Series X but at a cheaper price point with slightly less powerful hardware for those who wish to upgrade without having to spend as much as a full blown Xbox Series X will presumably cost.
According to previous reports the new console was codenamed 'Lockhart' - the Series S will target a 4-terraflop GPU to it's bigger brother's 12-terraflops, and 7.5GB of RAM. It's the second of such leaks in the space of around a month, after the console was seemingly leaked via controller packaging last month.
There's still no official word from Microsoft yet on the Xbox Series S, so take this with a pinch of salt. But for now the Xbox Series X looks like it's set to launch in early-to-mid-November with only a "November 2020" date still as precise as Microsoft is willing to officially confirm at the time of writing.
