Xbox One S does include a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, Xbox head Phil Spencer has confirmed.

That means you’ll be able to play 4K UHD Blu-rays directly through the console, and stream 4K videos. The original Xbox One is limited to 1080p HD Blu-ray support.

The inclusion of a 4K Blu-ray drive may, for many, be the key feature of the Xbox One S. Standalone 4K Blu-ray drives typically cost far more than the Xbox One S, which goes on sale in August for £249.

Alternative SKUS containing a 1TB hard drive and 2TB hard drive will also be available for £299 and £349 respectively.
