Xbox One S will debut on August 2 as a 2TB launch edition priced £349.99, Microsoft has confirmed. The date had already been listed by retailers, but Microsoft made it official today.
You’ll be able to pick up the 2TB console in the following regions: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States.
Xbox One S will also be hitting store shelves for additional markets later this year. The previously announced 1TB and 500GB models will be dated soon.
The new Xbox One S features a new, slimmer design said to be 40% smaller than the original Xbox One console, support for UHD 4K Blu-rays and streaming video, plus HDR in both games and media. The system also ships with the new Xbox Wireless Controller featuring textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support.
A more powerful Xbox, codenamed Project Scorpio, meanwhile, is due to launch late next year.
