The latest system update for Xbox One will begin rolling out to all users today, Microsoft has announced.
The new update introduces support for 3D Blu-ray playback and mobile purchases, letting players purchase content from Xbox.com or Xbox SmartGlass and have it instantly downloaded on your console.
It also makes tweaks to the Activity Feed, redesigning it to a single column ‘Twitter-like’ design and introducing options to Like, share and comment on each update, while your Friends list will now display the amount of time it’s been since your friends were last online.
A low battery notification has been introduced, too, popping up a warning whenever your controller’s batteries are getting low, and, if you’re getting tired of notifications interrupting your Netflix sessions, you can now disable them entirely during videos.
The update should automatically download if your Xbox is on standby, or you can manually force the update to download by heading to the Settings menu.
Additional features due to arrive in future updates include multimedia/DLNA support, digital game pre-loading and a brand new Friends tab.
