That’s right; Xbox Live has been awarded an Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Technology and Advanced New Media. The NATAS will honour Microsoft’s industry leading online gaming service at the 57th Annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards scheduled to take place on September 29th.

Xbox Live has proven to be the best online service for home consoles, giving gamers and developers an easy way to get their games online. Subscribers to the service currently top 2 million and this is set to increase with the launch of the Xbox 360 and the system’s Xbox Live Gold and Silver services.
