According to Japanese video game sales figures published by Media Create, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Frontier Online has topped the Japanese sales chart in its first week on release.

The MMO, a port of the existing PC game, shifted 93,000 copies in the week ended June 27, which happened to be the same week the slim Xbox 360 launched in Japan.

Monster Hunter Frontier Online comes with a free 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership and a code for 30 days of online play. Continue playing after that point and you’ll have to pay around £10 a month.
