The Xbox 360 version of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare requires a mandatory installation, the game’s box art has revealed.
The box appeared at the end of the latest gameplay trailer for the game, and features a “storage required” notice alongside another warning advising players that an Xbox Live Gold membership is required to play.
GameStop’s listing for the game also states that the Xbox 360 version “requires [a] minimum of 4GB Storage Space”, although a “Hard Drive [is] not required”, suggesting that the game may run without issue when installed to a USB stick.
EA has yet to confirm Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare’s storage requirements. VideoGamer.com has contacted the publisher for additional details.
Multiple Xbox 360 titles have required a mandatory installation in recent months following years of providing gamers with the option to install their games.
Last year’s Grand Theft Auto 5, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts each required installation.
Earlier today, EA announced that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare had seen a one week delay.
