At Microsoft’s X05 press conference yesterday they announced a long list of games that would be appearing on the Xbox 360 in the launch period and a number of games that would make their next-gen debut on the 360. Launch day titles weren’t made clear, but speaking to Gamespot David Reid, director of platform marketing for Xbox said that “there will be 15 to 20 Xbox 360 titles available on launch day” and another half dozen by the end of 2005.

So, which games make up those 15-20? They weren’t all revealed, but Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup are all scheduled for day one. The twelve games missing from that list are currently in the final stages of certification and may or may not make it in time for launch. More details will be released in the coming weeks.

This is for the November 22nd US release of course, so the European launch ten days later might have more day one titles. We’ll keep you updated on any launch title developments.
