2K Games has released the debut gameplay trailer for its upcoming spandex-clad grappler WWE 2K18, which is coming out on October 17 for PS4 and Xbox One. The Burn It Down trailer is backed up by the head thumping rock of Kickstart My Heart by Mötley Crüe, with plenty of head thumping, canvas dumping wrestling going on. It also gives folks their first look at the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Undertaker, and many more of the wrestlers that’ve been previously announced for the game.

The trailer gives us our first extended look at a number of WWE and NXT wrestlers making their stage entrances, throwing opponents into chairs, tables, ropes and even car windows. You could say it’s a smashing trailer really. Despite the fireworks and thumping rock music, the game doesn’t really look leaps and bounds ahead of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but I’m sure fans of the series will lap it up.

WWE 2K18 is out on PS4 and Xbox on October 17, and a Nintendo Switch release will follow later in the year.
