The Second World War has never seemed so zoomable. Paradox Interactive are releasing a new, and on the face of it pretty hardcore, real time strategy game set in World War II. The environments in Steel Division: Normandy 44 are all based on aerial photos of actual battle grounds from Normandy, and you can zoom from said aerial view all the way down to a single unit.
If you pre-order the game you can get into a beta, which is running from now until the game’s release.
Steel Division: Normandy 44 is coming to PC on May 23 2017. Here’s a video of some gameplay to see if it tickles your fancy.
